Where to see birds of prey in falconry centres?

Hi,

I wanted to ask where everyone thinks the best place to see birds of prey without caging i.e. 'sunbathing'.

I went to Banham Zoo and they had a bald eagle kestrel and some harris' hawks. But that really isn't a massive selection to admire...

I also not so long ago went to Cheshire falconry and they had like a mini zoo of owls, falcons and eagles, that was great but its really far away.

I would like to explore a new falconry center.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. It would be nice if it had a African Crowned Eagle. But I think thats asking for too much.

The Hawk Conservancy is good some of the species are to go to Longleat soon for some new attraction for 2011 I don't think there staying permantely though.

According to Zootierliste crowned eagles in the U.K. are kept at Eagle Heights in Eynsford and Warwick Castle.

yes ive heard but you cant actually see that eagle. warwick castle dont have any public places to see the birds. The only chance to see it is to go the show however the crowned eagle doesnt take part in it

Oh and I looked at eagle heights (not far away from where I live) and they have a list of birds they keep on their website. However I emailed them if by any chance they do have a crowned eagle.

Well they certainly had 3 when I visited a couple of years ago!!

Eagle Heights have a crowned eagle! Can't wait to go there!

Thanks everyone for the help!

P.S. Thanks Bonkorob for giving me that amazing site which lists what animals are kept at what zoos, I'm sure I will use it in the future.

Warwick Castle's Crowned Eagles were bought in by Eagle Heights they are currently flown as falconry birds (IE for hunting with) and then will be put into a breeding project like the ACE's at Eagle Heights.
All the best,
Barbary
