I thought it would be interesting to see which countries in Western Europe have been most visited by Zoochatters on their various zoo visits over the years. I have included only 10 countries and there are of course a few I have missed out on. I haven't include the UK as I am aware there are far more members based there than anywhere else. I am also aware that not all the countries included are in Western Europe per se.

Anyone is welcome to vote conditional on them having visited a zoo in that particular country.
I know there are many well travelled members and would be interested to see who has visited the most in this poll and Europe as a whole. Feel free to post your overall totals too.

Spain, Germany, and Switzerland. If coronavirus didn't happen Czechia would be up there too.

9 out of 10 - I've missed out on Italy. However, the zoo I've visited in Spain has since closed (the mini-zoo in Ayamonte), and the zoo I visited in Austria was not exactly famous or noteworthy (just a generic "wildpark" that I can't even remember the name of without checking my list of zoos visited).

I've also visited a zoo in Luxembourg (Parc Merveilleux) which I presume would count as "Western Europe" along with the two other Benelux countries.

I visited zoos in Belgium (3 zoos), Netherlands (8 zoos), Germany (13 zoos and 1 aquarium), Switzerland (5 zoos), Czech Republic (5 zoos), Spain (1 zoos), Portugal (1 aquarium), France (too much), and as I am not a british citizen ;) : "United Kingdom (4 zoos) and Jersey (1 zoo)"

From the initial voting it would appear there isn't too much to separate any of the countries with many members having visited the vast majority of countries in question. Italy falls way behind the others perhaps due to a combination of geography and not having any stand out zoos to visit. The other two countries that appear to have been visited slightly less are Czech Republic perhaps due to it being more Eastern Europe and Switzerland perhaps due to having a small number of zoos.
