Zoo Aschersleben White Jaguars born

I have a feeling they will change to normal color in a few months. My only reason for assuming this is that Wildlife World Zoo (Arizona, USA) had a pair of white leopards born to one normal parent and one black parent several years ago (just like these jaguar parents). By the time I got up there, when the cubs were only four or five months old, they were already normal colored. One was a bit lighter than the other, but certainly not white (even though the zoo still called them that).

I realize jaguars are not leopards, but they are in the same genus. It will definitely be interesting to see what happens, as you regulars know I am a cat fanatic. I kind of hope they do change to normal, because if they remain white I will have to fly to Germany to photograph them, which I cannot afford to do! ;)

I think the more amazing thing about this article is that AOL is still around.
