West Midland Safari and Leisure Park White Lion pride breeding

I have been doing some research into the White Lions at West Midlands. I didn't want to bump up an old thread, as some of the information wasn't relevent. I thought it might be an idea to keep this thread of just how many cubs are being bred there, for future references? Anyway:

Firstly, the 'pride' was established in 2004 when 4 individuals where brought to the park. They where:

Mutubu aka Rolo (M), Natasha (F) (16 month old siblings), Johanne (F) (15 month old half sibling to previous two) and Maryn (F) 19 month old unrelated)

Cubs that have been produced (all fathered by Mutubu aka Rolo)

2006: 4 cubs (1m, 3f) born to Maryn
(Jan) 07: 2 cubs (2f) born to Natasha
(Apr) 07: 2 cubs (1m, 1f) born to Johanne

July 2008: 4 cubs (3m, 1f) born to Maryn
July 2008: 2 cubs (2m) born to Natasha

June 09: 3 cubs (3f) born to Natasha
Sept 09: 5 cubs (4m, 1f) born to Maryn

I always thought they had 2 males and 2 seperate groups? There used to be a very white male out or a more yellowy/tawny male out?

Thats a lot of cubs! have many of them left and do you know where they have all gone?
There seemed an awful lot of females there when we went last year.

The very white male was Casper (born 2006) and is now at isle of wight zoo. He is the only one I know that has left although it was said on the forum that others had moved to an undisclosed location??

I think there are about 16 lions left in the pride.

Some were seen last year at the Open Day of a private collection , not certain if this info. is in the public domain though ?

Anyone else heard about the four white lion cubs from West Midlands that ended up in a Japanese circus? I just came across the story now, apparently WMSP sold them to Jim Clubb, who runs Amazing Animals which is an animal entertainment business also known as Heythrop Zoological Gardens, located in Chipping Norton. The cubs were then trained there before being sold to Kinoshita Circus in Japan, and apparently one of the males has been removed from the show since he lost his mane due to stress after he was attacked by other circus animals. Here's a link to the story :

Old news with many things printed that aren't true, but then I expect that with the Daily Fail!!

I certainly hope it's not true. I hadn't seen anything posted on Zoochat about it, so thought i'd just throw it out there :)
there was a whole thread about it. The thread was deleted for necessary reasons.

What were the necessary reasons? If you don't mind me asking that is. I can't imagine that discussion would cause any issues on this forum.

@Clouded Leopard - thanks for the link you provided.

It became ummmm quite a heated discussion ;) And probably best just to leave it at that!
