Who's Next?

With so many smaller collections closing and yes I think all collections that close will be missed for one reason or another good or bad.
We should be asking how long before a BIG collection unfortunatly has to close it's doors for good.
But which one would you miss the most if it closed tomorrow?

I would have to say Dudley Zoo I know it's not everybodies cup of tea but I think it's a wonderfull little collection for a Urban Zoological Collection.
I know some of the enclosures are a bit dated but come on every zoo has out dated enclosures, I would also miss Chester as I think the species collection there is so amazing.

Lets here which collection you would miss and why?

Apart from some tangental or obtuse reason isnt this the same as asking which your favourite zoo is?Whilst trying to find a way around that i would go for Lotherton Hall Bird Garden near Leeds because a] it is very easy for me to get to by car b]they have the only Southern Helmeted Curassows in a zoo in Europe.On the other hand i would be devastated if any one of 30 or so other places in Britain closed..and without even contemplating Germany,USA,the Netherlands.Here are the ones i DO miss however-Belle Vue,Winged World,the original Birdland,Kilverstone,RSCC[if it is really closed,ill believe it when i see it],Glasgow[but only because manager Richard OGrady was such a nice guy],Southport[only because Doug and Carol are missed on the UK zoo scene].And thats about it.. i cant cry for Knaresborough,Scarborough,Riber Castle,Guilsborough Grange[and i worked there]or many other utterly worthless places ive seen pass by over the years.Oh..and i miss Ravensden too,it may be totally non-p.c. now but there is a real buzz about visiting a proper animal dealer.

@Tim Brown I can understand your view about your favourite zoo re reading it it does sound like that so could one of the mods please lock this thread and I will start another about what zoo you do miss now that it closed thank you
