why is it that if there is something that needs talking about eg; animal welfare it is cut short when people are offering their views but if it is to talk about something that certain people like it can remain for several pages, is this not the zoo forum where people can share and add their views about all subjects zoo related.

Are you referring to anything specifically? i can't say i have noticed any censorship which is what i believe you mean.

It was very right for the moderators to close the thread,as its shouldn't have been posted until it had been taken up with the zoo involved, also given that the House is lived in my one of the keepers,I think that the taking of the pictures and the posting of them was bang out of order!!!!

When a discussion arises that could potentially lead to any form of legal or disciplinary consequences, it is safer for all concerned- the Zoo, the original poster, this Forum- to terminate the public discussion.

why end it

I appreciate and support what our moderators do to keep this forum clean, functioning and safe. I respect their judgement.

Sometimes, people with no experience of keeping animals, are able to identify abuse. More often, they demonstrate their own lack of knowledge.

Yes, there are always two sides to every story, very apt in this case I think.
