Wicksteed Park is closing. Not quite a zoo maybe these day, but it still has a Zoo Licence and has always had a collection of animals..
Theme park enters administration after 99 years
This one does appear to be due to Covid related, and not due to prior problems.

Does anyone know how to start a new petition to Save Wicksteed Park from closure as I was not able to get started on it

Does anyone know how to start a new petition to Save Wicksteed Park from closure as I was not able to get started on it

I am sure that given their age and history, they will already have support groups - and it does seem to be the charitable trust which is closing, and that some sort of organisation will be formed after administration.

I thought that their comment about the Park not being financially viable post Covid, as they could not deal with both numbers and social distancing, as apt - and a warning for the Theme Park industry and those zoos dependent on shows, animal presentations and other forms of close, crowd contact.

Wicksteed is of course local to us both now as a 'competitor' and a place of child-hood memories. I don't know anything about its structure, internal politics or plans.
