El Paso Zoo Wild Mountain Lion Closes Zoo

That is really bizarre. I have been to El Paso Zoo and it is near downtown and the Mexico border. It is not directly next to any wild areas and I am trying to figure out how a mountain lion would make it through the city to get there. If I had to guess I am thinking it uses the border corridor created by the Rio Grande river. There is also a small canal that runs directly through the zoo (a bridge connects the old half of the zoo to the new half).
