Wild yak in captivity

We all know that domestic yak are fairly easy to keep in captivity and can be seen in many collections worldwide.
But what about the wild yak (Bos grunniens), classed as a vulnerable species in its native central Asian uplands.
The only record i can find of this species in captivity is of it being kept in 3 zoos, 2 unnamed and Chicago (Brookfield or Lincoln park i don't know).
Their track record according to the same source is not good, with no animals living beyond 3 years.

With less than 10'000 individuals in the wild, surely it is time to think about a captive breeding programme for these magnificent bovid, before it is too late.

In particular, Beijing Zoo.
(longevity there was certainly way beyond 3 years)

I could be wrong but I think San Diego Zoo had them in the 1970s, I have a book called The Endangered Ones by James A. Cox, it was written in 1975, the book shows a picture of a Yak and labels it as Wild yak at San Diego Zoo

And @Kiang, it was probably Brookfield Zoo and not Lincoln Park Zo because when a zoo is listed as Chicago Zoological Park it is usually Brookfield Zoo, also where did you find that info on Wild yaks in Chicago ?

There is no entry for wild yak, but two entries for domestic yak - one being a hornless breed.
