Wildlife Exhibitors Network

ZAA provides welfare accreditation for captive animal facilities in Aus/NZ as well as the management of breeding programs for a variety of species, in a small region it seems strange to have two similar bodies

So, only about half of the licensed static exhibited animal facilities in Australia are members of ZAA for many many reasons. ZAA also doesn’t accept memberships from other exhibited animal industries housing licensed wildlife.

There are many examples of multiple member based organisations in other countries - such as ZAA and AZA in the USA. They both operate and some facilities are members of both.

They wouldn’t be expecting every exhibited animal facility in Australia to join, but it’s an alternative for some that for their own reasons can’t or don’t want to join ZAA. If you don’t like it, that’s cool… your zoo doesn’t have to join :)

Let’s see how it all goes…

Looks like it might actually list some of the smaller animal parks in Australia that may have not been identified on here yet (majority have), could be wrong @Chlidonias do you think there might be a few on the directory we haven't found out about yet maybe?

Yes, there is quite a few parks missing that we could start new threads about… I can forward you a list if you want to PM me?
