To be honest, I'm flabbergasted in the exact items they are asking for! Not just things like syringes/needles etc, but even things like Lethabarb, and worst of all - Schedule 8 drugs like buprenophene, methadone & ketamine!!!

Now these supplies are not only used on the wildlife patients, but also the zoo animals!!! What on earth?!?

AUSTRALIA Zoo Wildlife Hospital will be given $50,000 a year for three years as part of a council grant.

The hospital treated more than 8600 animals last year.

Care for each of those could amount to thousands of dollars.

Appeals manager Murray Monro said the new funding would allow the wildlife hospital to pay for medical supplies and rehabilitation of the animals.
