On February 1st, 2024, it was announced that the sanctuary transferred a (0.1) North American porcupine named Betty to the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Pennsylvania.

On February 9th, the sanctuary announced they acquired a (1.0) bobcat named Sur after it was struck by a car.

I just visited today, although has changed since 2017 for me 2014 As I was part of a summer camp there as some animals left while others have new habitats.
There is now an new building which is now the entrance and gift shop to the center and it’s now lush and shaded with natural trees.
New Habitats for The Reptile and Arthropod Area, Macaw on stick is gone from the staff building, Bobcat and Lynx, Red Fox and Arctic Fox given their own habitats, Servals, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Crows, Reticulated Python, American Alligator and Goldfish, Bald Eagle, Fennec Fox, Black-tailed Prairie Dog, Ring-tailed Lemur, Squirrel Monkey, Common Marmoset, North American Porcupines, Sloths, and now the Giraffe is part of the center now.
