Wildlife photographers try and become "conservation photographers"

As a photographer I enjoyed the article. Photography has always had the power to change both for environmental and social causes, even from its inception (think Matthew Brady's American Civil War shots showing dead bodies or the classic photo essay on New York slums whose title coined the phrase How The Other Half Lives).

Not sure how zoos could apply this, unless they start inviting political leaders to visit more. Even then, I think most zoos have messages that are too watered down (if they exist at all) for fear of offending guests.
