On June 18th, the zoo announced they acquired (0.1.3+?) Virginia opossums (female is named Ali-bama) after they were found in a truck in Alberquerque from Alabama.

On November 28th, 2023, the zoo announced that during 2023 they renovated the collared peccary and red fox exhibits, built a new roof over the turkey vulture exhibit, and installed new windows in the American black bear and cougar exhibits.
