Had a lovely visit today first through the safari with my daughter managed to go round three times in the end even managed to see the new baby bear cubs which made our day also the baby lemurs and meerkats and then watched as they bought the elephants to the meadow bit was a lovely experience x

Woburn are teasing a new arrival n social media. I would persume it is a new male tiger after Elton's death earlier this year.

I would hazard a guess that this is the start of the move for Dmitri the male amur tiger from ZSL Whipsnade. Will be a shame to see him go from Whipsnade, but hopefully he will settle in ok if it is his move they are teasing.

Most definitely, as he wouldn’t have seen a vehicle up close before, as at whipsnade they are in a large enclosure in middle of the park , whereas at woeburn they have free space to roam and explore and vehicles drive past them to see them up close. Hope this maybe the starts of tiger cubs maybe early next year..

Any news regarding the zoos elephants one calf and not much news since?
Was at Woburn a few weeks ago, I don’t think any of the current female elephants are expecting and I don’t think they have much expectation of it ,but when we asked the keeper, it sounded like they had plans to do AI on the youngest calf as now she is an young adult female and expand the herd that way, because I asked would she be moving on for breeding recommendation and they said no, they want to keep her but she can’t breed from her father that’s why AI would be needed.

Had a lovely visit today manage to see the mummy bear and her cubs quite well in their enclosure they were fantastic to watch also saw two wolves in there which we have never manage to see before only saw 1 tiger lovely to see the giraffes out and about (not like at West Midlands )also watched the squirrel monkeys one had a tiny baby on its back loved watching the sml meerkats playing was lovely weather and we got to drive round twice as it was quiet
