I'm no expert in these matters but I suspect in her confused mental state she was drawn toward making contact with the bears, rather than wanting them to kill her. Things only changed when she realised- too late- they were not friendly creatures.

I'm no expert in these matters but I suspect in her confused mental state she was drawn toward making contact with the bears, rather than wanting them to kill her. Things only changed when she realised- too late- they were not friendly creatures.
Interesting fact, most suicides make the decision 45min prior to the act.

@ Gillp, there is definatley footage of her smiling as she aproaches the polar bear.
I would suggest it is highly unlikely she was attempting suicide. Given the footage l have watched of her.

Watching the video I couldn't help but burst out laughing to see a large (putting it nicely) woman being pulled out of the enclosure by two or three men and being bitten on the arse by a polar bear. LOLOLOLOLOL
