This 200-page history book arrived in the mail yesterday and I can already tell that it is a "must-own". The layout of the publication is impressive, with hundreds of photos intermingled with a lot of text that describes the chronological history of one of America's top zoos. I've been a regular visitor for 20 years but even I was shocked to see images of polar bears and various other exotics from the zoo's early days. The Amazon link:

Also, I was at the zoo on Saturday with my wife and 4 kids and while we spent time in the outdoor play area, the food pavilion and the carousel I did manage to squeeze in some moments with captive creatures.
I uploaded 21 photos into the gallery, mostly of new developments such as 2016's Butterfly Garden and 2017's Pollinator Patio and revamped Wildlife Theater (where the bird show is located).
