Yet another Texas animal place

I probably won't visit anytime soon. I've been to a few "rescue" places, not inclined to visit more. Unlike my friend ArizonaDocent, I'm not a huge cat fan. Unless it's a new species I can see them in better conditions in other places.

Well here is yet another Texas place, this one near Houston. However, it is closed to the public, so don't rush out there. The reason I post it is they seem to be actively breeding some very good quality animals. (I found out about them from an article in the latest journal of the Feline Conservation Federation, but they have non-cats as well).

The two cat species are fishing cats (mostly imported from EAZA accredited zoos in Europe) and pure-blooded subspecific chinese leopard cats (P.b. chinensis).

They also breed two species of porcupine, one of which I have never seen or heard of before - palawan porcupine.

They appear to specialize in small mammals, the largest being capybaras and warthogs.

I read about In-Sync a couple of years ago and had planned to visit, but I haven't made it to Texas yet. Maybe next year.

Nice to see that some privat collections in the USA have such nice collections ! As I see Kapi'yva Exotics has Chacoan maras, a species kept since a short while by several European zoos. How is the sithouation in the USA, is it kept at many places ?

Here is yet another exotic cat rescue facility, this one in Midland. From what I can tell from their website (which has not been updated in five years), it is not someplace I would rush out to see.

I live a few miles away from this place and drive by it nearly every day. I have never seen any signs or advertisements for it and, until reading the website you posted a link to, did not even know this was considered a facility or that it allowed public viewing. In fact, the only reason I know that these people keep big cats is from a friend who told me that he was having car trouble near here several years ago, walked up to this house to ask about using their telephone, and was quite surprised to see a couple of live tigers.
