Young and wishing

Think Big Zoo

New Member
I am 14 years old. I grew up with a love of animals. And dreamed of owning a zoo. Back then my parent put it as dreams. You know how all little kids want to be president. But my dream of a zoo still runs everyday. My last visit to the nearby zoo made it official. I wish to be a owner of a zoo.
Growing up I never hade a lot of money. But the dream still remains. And I will save every penny for my future zoo. I believe that this dream is not going to be easy but I also believe that that it will be worth it. My whole family always enjoyed zoos and wish me luck. I believe that it will be a long tricky battle, but one that I plan to let go of. I have always been one for adventure, and now I a life time worth. Can't wait to start. Wish me luck as I begin.:D

1. Welcome to ZooChat!

2. "Will is power". Any thing that you wish enough strongly, will turn into actual things.

3. Don't begin with the tip of the building! First you should try (once you have the legal age) to work as an employee in a zoo. Slowly, year by year, you can gain positions and accumulate experiences and then you can thing in starting your own zoo. You know, a zoo is not only love for the animals: you also must have a vision entrepreneur. You know, a zoo is an enormous amount of money to spend and you must know how to gain enough money from visitors for keep the animals healthy and save money for you.

4. Try to contact with all zookeepers and zoo directors that you can. Read books from Gerald Durrell (probably you already do it). Also the book "We Bought a Zoo" from Benjamin Mee can give you some nice ideas, he bought Dartmor zoo and saved it from the ruin, although the difference is that he already had the enclosures and animals.

Best wishes for you!
