Hi, im looking at creating a portfolio of some of my pictures that i have taken over the last year or two and was wondering if any of you would be able to take a look at my pictures and give me your opinions on which ones you think should be included I have posted the link below which should hopefully take you to my pictures.

If possibly any pictures that you think should be included could you please post a link too in this thread.

Cheers

28 pages is a lot of photos
I think all photographers who want to take better photos have to become the severest critics of their own work. This can be hard because you know how much time and effort went into each shot and you can be so pleased with one aspect of a photo that you overlook its other faults.

So let me put it like this: you portfolio should not contain
  • any out of focus images (magnify and check the eyes are absolutely sharp)
  • any shaken images (same instruction)
  • any overexposed images (look for blown highlights and check histogram if you can)
  • any underexposed images (look for blocked up blacks and check histogram if you can)
  • any images with poor colour quality
  • any images with distracting foregrounds (wires!)
  • any images with distracting backgrounds
  • any images that don't show something real about the animal
  • any poorly composed images (this is quite subjective)

Image processing programs can correct minor errors in exposure, colour quality and composition, but they can't correct the other problems.

I think that some of your more recent portrait shots of tigers, red pandas, jaguars (probably) and elephants are up reaching a much higher standard than your earlier work. If you look critically you will find a few reptile and bird shots that match them, maybe others do too.
Select your own top 10 (or 20) and then try to work out why they are better than the others so that you can build on their success.

I agree with GentleLemur 100%.

What do you want the portfolio for?

I agree with Gentle Lemur I'm not a proffessional and don't aspire to be one but by looking in books and magazines the comments I've found that are very frequently given out when people ask this question is find your very best photograph and see if any others match if they do then use them.
You can always seek advice from other people but in the end no matter what other people say it will always be your final decision
good luck
