Zoo 2000

Was moving house recently and stumbled upon my copy of Jeremy Cherfas' book from 1984 that accompanied the tv series.I was interested to know what other members think of his predictions bearig in mind it is now 25 years later.Personally most things he addressed has become the zoo norm (naturalistic enclosures, enrichment etc) and the only thing that he hasn't got correct are the standard of zoo cafes! He was certainly spot on about areas of the wild becoming more managed and that people will never tire of visiting zoos and having their own pesonal animal experiences.

I remember this show quite clearly although I was only six I loved it. My clearest memory is of an indoor rainforest - brookfield maybe? - would love to see it again.

I saw the series and read the book. I liked it!

I wouldn't mind seeing the series again (actually lots of older nature programs, too), but it might have aged since that time.
