Zoo animal traking

I wonder if it would be possible to attach a small traking device to for example small cats. Then on the outside of the zoo enclosure have a monitor with a layout of the enclosure. This could pinpoint the position of the cat. I think this is a great idea ;]. It would certainly solve the problem of not giving cats large enclosures as the pulic cannot see the animal!

I dont belive the technology for this would be expensive? The monitor could also contain a detailed description of the cat in several languages. Actually l would think that there would be firms in the industry that would sponsor this for a zoo. In return recieving enormous positive association.

There is a tracking device/collar on one of the siberian tigers at the Minnesota Zoo. The two tiger exhibits are the largest in North America, and so in the largest enclosure it is often difficult to spot the felines. A large device can swivel back and forth, and beeps if it eyes a tiger.
