I think I'm officially hooked on zoos and the work they do. In the past year I have bought many animal and wildlife related encyclopedias. Just recently I bought the Desmond Morris book Planet Ape which looks as it if it will be really interesting to anyone with an interest in the great apes. The book that i think confirms my addiction is published by Oxford University Press and is titled Zoo Animals (Behaviour, Management and Welfare). It's aimed primarily at those who work in zoos or are students doing zoology based courses but is also of interest to anyone who has a real interest in the work of zoo and how things have changed over the years as well. I'm looking forward to having a good read of this one!
