Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fantasy zoo I have been working on! Let me know if this is the wrong forum for it but this is my first one.
This zoo will be about 50 acres and located in Charlotte, North Carolina! It will be AZA accredited and one thing I wanted to focus on conservation wise was an emphasis on island conservation. I am saying Zoo Charlotte has 'sister' facilities in Australia/New Zealand so we will have some rarer species for North American Zoos from that region and Oceania in general. Some species will be unrealistic but then again it is fantasy. I am splitting up the zoo by geographic regions and will try to get a good mix of common AZA animals and rarer species!
The main sections of the zoo are:
- African Safari Track
- Southeast Asian Jungle Trek
- Congo Forest Path
- South American Treetop Trail
- Australian Brush Walkabout
- Islands of the World Voyage
- Zoo Central (miscellaneous species that don't quite fit in geographically)
