At the end of December a new zoo opened in the Uzbekistan city of Fergana. It's only a small zoo - about 5 hectare ) and also the collection is not very large ( about 65 animals of around 30 species ) but the collection is quite diverse ( 2 macaque-species, lion, tiger, bear, wolf, deer, yak, peccary, ibis and several other bird-species, python and monitor-lizard ).
