Zoo models, anyone?

I am deeply fascinated by the magnificent project of our new member miniaturezoo954, that I hope all of you have noticed. If not - the man is planning a gigantic model of a zoo and has spent 80 000 dollars (so far) acquiring animal and plant figurines for this model. See for instance this thread in The Gallery:

Many forumsters have testified that they have been (or still are) busy making zoo related models. I have never tried this but I am always thrilled by architectural and landscaping models - particularily zoo related ones, of course!

So I was just wondering, do any of you forumsters have pictures of your models that you could show? I would be very interested if you would like to show them to us, perhaps with some comments?

If so, please show them in this thread or - preferably - post them in The Gallery in the Animal Art section! Don´t be shy - I don´t think we have to take the concept of "art" to seriously here at ZooChat. It is not an "art" site and I bet that many of the forumsters would like to see your models!

This is a great thread Dan, i'm looking foward to finding out how many other members might have this idea, or related ones, of creating a zoo diorama, my dream is to create the most detailed and realistic zoo model yet. Before i started this hobby, i searched the web for other miniature zoos in the world, and i was really shocked to see that there was practically not many if any really, most zoos dioramas, are part of larger miniature scale dioramas, many times for railroad models, or village models etc, but not one dedicated to the art of a zoo. I talked to many scale model collectors, and i was surpriced by their answer, i allways got the "it is not very practical and it would cost a lot of money" the second part i have come to realised is true, the more that i have tried to budget the more i end up spending in order to bring that realsim to life, but about the practical part, i really do not believe it, i think there is so many people that would be really fascinated by a well put together miniature zoo, that is at least my wish.

I know i have already found some of them here
