This thread is going to be for sharing the master plans of Franklin Park Zoo & Stone Zoo, the progress of those master plans, and ideas (realistic) for these zoos.
I'll start.
For the master plan of Zoo New England, Bird's World, the Tropic Forest, the Children's Zoo and the Butterfly Pavillion are the only major exhibits that have been for the most part, completed in the masterplan. The Animal Discovery Center in Stone Zoo is expected to be redesigned, and the African Experience is set to open next year. The clouded leopard replacing the ocelot is going to be exhibited soon. Wild Asia is the only major "new" exhibit to be released and will be in/behind Bird's World. What species do you think will be in Wild Asia? Do you think tigers will make a return? Should Hoofstock Yards be reopened? If so, what species?

Since no one has been on this thread yet, I decided to start.
Due to the lack of major Asian species in Zoo New England ( other than the snow leopards), the bird house in Franklin park zoo should be repurposed to be part of wild Asia. The first room should have Gharial (a species not found in New England ), and Malayan painted terrapin. The second room should focus on the southeast Asian rainforests, keeping Bali mynah and maybe adding Nicobar pigeons or birds of paradise. The third room should be repurposed into an enclosure for tree kangaroo. The fourth room should have Komodo dragons. Outside, behind bird’s world should have sloth bears, siamang, Malayan tapir, Asian small-clawed otter, and Malayan tigers
