It is unclear where? But if you mean the UK, then just a quick glance at the gallery here will reveal there are a lot more.

Accurate numbers of animals held per zoo are hard to come by online.... Though for elephants www.elephant.se is your best bet.

Just like to know how many tigers,lions and elephants are living in the UK....
You say there are 48 zoos, 6 safariparks + w/life centers, but to me it is unclear whether you mean in the world, Europe, England, Leicestershire or China.
To answer that, you can follow the links I provided and there you will find at least partial answers to your questions.
In the book The IZES Guide to British Zoos & Aquariums (2009), there are exactly 154 zoos, aquariums, safari parks, falconry centres, etc. that are reviewed. Then, at the back of the book, there are approximately 100 smaller, additional zoological facilities listed. One could therefore make the argument that Great Britain has at least 250 proper 'zoos'. That's a considerable amount!
