Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park 2019 News

Yes, it is. While most of the rest of the zoo has had refreshes since it opened, "Primate World" has had only minor enhancements. They added some substantial climbing devices for the orangutans and enrichment for the other primates, but that is about it. It is the last area that has not changed, other than the aviary. The aviary is fine as it is, but Primate World desperately needs an update, hopefully the moving of the chimps will be the start of this.

From my 2013 visit, I remember Primate World and parts of the Asian exhibit (the Sloth Bear enclosure in particular) being pretty bad with the rest of the zoo being rather nice. Hopefully they get these areas up to standards soon.

I am pretty sure the last sloth bear recently died. I am not sure what (if anything) is there right now. Last time I was there the Asian Domain was mostly closed for a private event. But yes, that was the last original exhibit not updated. Technically the gharial and clouded leopard too, but they are not the original inhabitants of those exhibits (tapir and persian leopard originally).
