Zoo Tour Groups

I don't know if this is the correct forum to post on, but are there any tour groups around that specifically tour zoos? Most importantly, are there tour groups that allow you to make payments in installments?

I have never heard of a zoo tour group. My suspicion is that there would not be enough interest. But who knows? I think there are special tours for viewing architecture or for visiting art museums, so I suppose if you promoted it nationally you might get a group together. Especially if you offer behind-the-scenes encounters not readily available to the general public. The trick, if we are talking about the United States, would be to pick a geographic area where several zoos are within reasonable driving distance. Here are some possible scenarios off the top of my head.

Tour A - southern California
San Diego Zoo (two days)
San Diego Safari Park
Santa Ana Zoo & Aquarium of the Pacific (same day)
California Wolf Center (or whatever that place near Safari Park is called)
Los Angeles Zoo
The Living Desert
perhaps some kind of movie animal training place

Tour B - the northeast
Bronx Zoo (two days)
Prospect Park Zoo (perhaps same day as one of next two)
Queens Zoo (perhaps same day as previous or next)
Central Park Zoo (perhaps same day as one of previous two)
Staten Island Zoo
Philadelphia Zoo
LEO Conservation Center

Tour C - the great state of Arizona
Reid Park Zoo
Arizona Sonora Desert Museum
Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium
Phoenix Zoo
Pheonix Herpetological Society
Out Of Africa

Tour D - central Texas
Dallas Zoo
Fort Worth Zoo
Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
Cameron Park Zoo
Caldwell Zoo
Dallas World Aquarium

On a related post, I am toying with the idea of starting a photo tour company (which have become quite popular in recent years with the explosion of interest in digital photography). Would have to start with some short (3 or 4 day) local Arizona tours (Sedona and Grand Canyon, etc). But a long term plan would be to do a wild cat photo tour focusing on captive facilities in western Europe. Three days at Parc Des Felins in France, a day at Zoo Zurich (for snow leopard and amur tiger enclosures), a day at Wildlife Heritage Foundation in UK for big cats, a day at Port Lympne in UK for big and small cats.

The problem with LEO Conservation Center is that the only way to get in is to be a member, but perhaps a zoo tour group could be able to find a way to get in without membership.
I would also add Mystic Aquarium and New York Aquarium once they reopen. Staten Island Zoo would probably only be worth it after the Amur Leopard enclosure opens.

LEO currently does tours for special school groups and also hosts university students. I am sure an organized tour group that was willing to pay would be let in. How much they would have to pay, of course, is the question.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. Are you concocting a plan to form a tour group to see Mona Lisa?;)
