Zoo Trip across England

Hello everyone, I wonder if you could recommend me some zoos to hit on the way up from Kent to Chester. We will be hitting the Lancashire coast on the way so any zoos nearby would be cool!

Be a bit of an awkward route to pass through the Lancashire coastline before reaching Cheshire :D:p

The most obvious ones between Kent and Cheshire would be Cotswold Wildlife Park, Birmingham Nature Centre and Slimbridge WWT - if going via the east coast and across to Lancashire some other options would be Hamerton, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and WWT Martin Mere.

Kent to Chester, would imagine you would go, M20, M25, M40, M6
So the zoos worth a look along the way imo would be.

BCA Zoo if you are looking for somewhere on the M40 to stop say if starting trip on a Sat or Sunday.
Birmingham Nature Centre & Dudley Zoo both doable in a day
Peak Wildlife Park and Monkey Forest can be combined
I still enjoy Knowsley, and think its one of the better safari parks for photos. Prob best Safari Park for close up Rhino Photos, and definitely the best Monkey drive through, and a few nice species on the Safari.
If staying near Chester, and it's open, Reaseheath College is worth a visit too. The Yellow Mongoose exhibit is quite cool imo.

Thank you much appreciated

Reaseheath Mini Zoo is now open daily until 31st August and if driving from the M6 (junction 16) to Chester you will literally drive past it on the A51 just outside Nantwich (unless the Reaseheath by-pass opens by then in which case it will no longer quite be true!).

As a teaching facility for students don't expect anything large, but it's well worth an hour or two for some unusual species.
