Some of these are easy , some are obscure, some are intended just FYI,

4/15, definitely hoped for higher! :p The ones I got right were 1, 7, 12 and 14, although the latter was a complete guess. Enjoyed the quiz.

I could be wrong, but surely somewhere in China must have displayed Giant Pandas before San Fransico did? May be worth changing the question to 'first zoo outside of China' to display one?
