A male Snow Leopard (born at the park in 2013) was exported to Como Park Zoo in Minnesota during December
 
The zoo will welcome this year malayan tapirs. A first tapir (coming from Zlin) is now in "La Tanière - Zoo Refuge", a new park not far from Paris. He will arrive to Tregomeur after the completion of the new exhibit.
 
That’s great. That would be, with Lyon, three zoos in France that will start to keep Malayan tapirs in 2020. It is admirable that the zoos in France take in so many animal species for which the EEP coordinators are urgently looking for new owners and cannot find them in Germany. In the past 10 years, 5 zoos in France have started keeping Indian Rhinos - Germany added the last owner 30 years ago.Since 2014, three french zoos started with Malayan tapirs. Now, in 2022, the Opel Zoo starts keeping , Indian rhinos and malayan tapirs.

Do you know, if Tregomeur will keep them togehter with other species like Mulhouse or Lyon ? I guess so.
 
It's really difficult to have informations on this park so I can't answer. This zoo does not want to spend to much money on new exhibits so I think we can't expect a lot. I imagine a simple enclosure for the tapirs maybe mixed with small deers.
 
The new malayan tapir enclosure will be 3.000 m² and will be located along the pelicans pond.
The house is 70 m² and is composed of three boxes (all with pool).
In a recent TV report we saw that the first tapir has arrived from "La Tanière - Zoo Refuge" where he was awainting the construction of its new home since last year.
 
A baby Bactrian Camel was born in March to mother Nadia and father Viteck, he has been named Kenti.

Some weeks ago, a red-bellied lemur was born.

Also, last week 2 blackbucks were born.

On April, 3 owls hatched. (I don't know from which specie.)
 
An Eurasian Spoonbill chick hatched in June. This is the first time a chick hatches in the zoo.

Yufi, a female Bactrian Camel arrived from Zoo Ostrava. Now the group at Tregomeur is of 2.2 Bactrian Camels.

After their male otter died, a new male named Elrohir arrived in Mid-June. He is 9 months old and was born in Zoo Duisburg.

Lots of births in Tregomeur since my last message :
- september 2020 : a single binturong
- a northern white-cheeked gibbon (unknown date)
- a vietnamese sika deer fawn (unknown date)
- 4 eurasian spoonbill chicks (unknown date)
- May 19th : 2,2,1 small-clawed otters
- June 2021 : 0,0,1 Dalmatian pelican
- July 8th 2021 : 2,0 new binturongs

The Zoo was sold at the end of last year to Olivier de Lorgeril, owner of Zoo domaine de la Bourbansais. The man was already operating the zoo with a sort of lease from the previous public owner.

Zoological news now : Tahan, female malayan tapir born in Cerza 2020 August 4th, has joined the resident male Balu arrived in 2020.
