Zoos/Aquaria to visit

Hey everyone;

So I'm currently a student in Canada, so I don't really have the opportunity to visit other zoos/travel much. I'm trying to save up money for a trip down sometime, but just wondering as to any zoos and aquaria that you would highly suggest? I've covered the Smithsonian in Washington, Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Centre, San Francisco Zoo, and naturally, Disney's Animal Kingdom in Florida/Seaworld so far...but any advice to narrow down the choices would be great. Thanks!

Snowleopard should be able to help you out with this he is from Canada and just toured 30 zoos in the USA and Canada :cool:

@Leptonyx: if you check out the thread "Snowleopard's Epic Road Trip" you'll be able to read comprehensive reviews of exactly 30 different zoos and aquariums that I visited over the past summer. Also, if you purchase the book "America's Best Zoos" you'll be able to read all about 94 U.S. zoos, and specifically on how 60 of them stand out from the rest. In Canada I always say that it is the #2 largest nation on the planet and yet it only has 2 notable zoos: Calgary and Toronto. I see that you are reasonably close to the States of Ohio and Illinois. The city of Chicago has 2 zoos and what I consider the best aquarium in North America, while Ohio is a State blessed with a number of large, famous zoos.
