Zoos worth visiting in China

I will most likely travel to China next year, the purpose of the trip is not necessarily to visit zoos, but I do plan on visiting at least some zoos during the trip.
So does anyone know any zoos and/or aquariums worth checking out in China ? I'm staying specifically in the cities of Shanghai, Beijing and Nanjing, but I wouldn't mind traveling further out in order to see one or two of your recommended zoos

FYI, all three cities you mentioned have rather well-operated city zoo. (following the chinese market standard)
Beijing zoo keeps three kinds of snub-nosed monkey (the only zoo in the world), non-clear blooded red goral, and so on. Shanghai zoo keeps gorillas, Skywalker gibbon, and its environment and enclosure are better. Nanjing Hongshan becomes more and more popular online recently, for it built several best enclosures in China and got supported by online bloggers.
I suggest you can explore chinese zoology history by visiting beijing zoo and meet "popular zoo culture" by visiting Hongshan. If time available, just go to shanghai zoo for fun.
Don't bother to visit Beijing Wildlife Park.
