San Diego Zoo Safari Park San Diego Zoo Safari Park News 2016

One box on the map of the new Australia area is labelled "Devils Marbles." Any idea what this is? Could it be a Tasmanian devil exhibit? (Probably not, since there is no mention of the species in the writeup).

It could be a play on words of the famous rock formation in the Northern Territory (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karlu_Karlu_/_Devils_Marbles_Conservation_Reserve), although they are nowhere near Tasmania, or it could just be that they are focusing on central Australian species.
 
0.2 cheetah cubs were born on November 19th. They are being hand raised and just today went on exhibit at the Animal Care Center.

The baby gorilla is named Leslie.

0.1 black footed cat named "Yuna" went on exhibit near the kid's theater.
 
Black footed cat - YES! Not sure where the kids theater is though. Is that where the old monorail boarding was?
 
I see on the park map that the kids theater is listed in the row of glass cases in Nairobi Village. I think it's just a tv screen, not much of a theater? Anyway the cat must be in one of those glass exhibits.

A greater one-horned rhinoceros was born November 10th. It is the 70th of that species born at the park.

1.0 Nile lechwe was born recently.
 
Wallis, one of six Southern white rhinoceros to come to San Diego Zoo Safari Park in November 2015, was found to have been shot not long before being transferred from a reserve in South Africa. The bullet casing removed from her body is planned to be used as an educational display for visitors.
