They have a breeding pair off exhibit in Tropic World. They aren't ever on exhibit :(
 
There is one way to see them. If you do the behind the scenes tropic world Asia tour then you can.
 
Oh wow I didn't know the public could do that and see them! I may have to do that sometime then! :p

Chicago Zoological Society - Backstage Adventures

Here’s your opportunity to meet some of the hidden and lesser known occupants of Tropic World: Asia. As part of the Asian Adventure, you will help give the tree shrews some enrichment; assist with the midday food toss to the gibbons; meet mysterious pygmy lorises, which come out only at night; observe an orangutan training session; and watch the Asian small-clawed otters as they get their lunch.
 
A male giraffe from Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is slated to arrive this spring. He is about 2 years old and SSP has recommended he breed with adult female Arnieta.

Two adult female African painted dogs from Lincoln Park Zoo, but born at Brookfield Zoo, are returning to Brookfield to breed with our male Voltron. Topaz, Brookfield's current female painted dog, will be going to Lincoln Park since she cannot breed due to medical issues (and has been spayed as well).

The red-flanked duiker calf has been named Omari.

Young male okapis Corky and Will are going to move to the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend soon, to be a part of their new okapi exhibit.

We will soon be getting a male red panda from the Kansas City Zoo.

2 1/2 year old male sea lion, Kodiak, has died.

Good to have you back Meilover. Thanks for the updates.
 
I notice we will get quite a few new animals in the Spring. New giraffe, polar bear, tiger, dik dik, and red panda. Looks to be a good year for the zoo.:D
 
Also for those who don't know, Brookfield zoo currently has the largest group of white bellied tree pangolins on the continent. They are being held behind the scenes and the zoo has already had 4 births. They may make there debut this year, but it's still unknown at this point.

I wouldn't count on that... the organization behind the recent influx of pangolins has not yet released how many it holds. Considering some of the same facilities have acquired a few more recently, it's likely to be a very high amount.
