Do you know whether the Javan group died out or was it transferred out to another zoo (and in which case ... which one)???

I am pretty sure the Isle of Wight Sanctuary Javan Langurs came either from Twycross or Howletts/PL, or possibly some from both. According to the Website they currently still have 2.2. but it doesn't say where they came from. They have kept them successfully over some time now. The Red Tailed Guenon from Twycross is there also. They also have 1.2 b/w Colobus- possibly from Twycross again but I can't remember. Maybe someone else can...

I don't know what happened to any other Javans at Twycross.

If your going by map numbers its:
7- Black and White Colobus and Javan Langur
12- Lowe's Guenon
31- Crowned Guenon (mixed with a Diana Monkey) and François Langur
35- L' Hoest's Monkey
Thanks, I forgot to include the black spider monkeys and the crowned lemur, can you point them out for me? :)

When did the Javan Langurs drop to one? There were two or three still in February.

That is all I saw on my last visit a few months back. Previously there were two Langurs, but not now.
I was there a few weeks ago and only saw one Javan Langur indoors, but didn't check outdoors. Colobus, I thought there were at least 2 outside, but the outside viewing isn't great now as a result of the open top Debrazza enclosure

I only saw one Black Javan Langur and one Colobus Monkey but as Pipaluk said viewing is a lot harder now. But I checked both indoors and outdoors and saw just the one.

This was the situation when I was there at Xmas. And I checked fairly carefully- only one of each was all I could see.

A Northern white cheeked gibbon has been born.

Also.........
As part of these programmes, three gibbons born at the zoo left last year to join new mates in other countries: Sky, an agile gibbon, joined a male in Plock Zoo, Poland; Eric, a northern white-cheeked gibbon (brother to the new baby), joined a female in Dierenrijk Zoo in the Netherlands; and female northern white-cheeked gibbon Elliott (sister of the new arrival) joined a male in Frankfurt Zoo, Germany.

This adorable gibbon's been born at Twycross Zoo and we're in love

Does anyone know what's happening with the 'Windows on the Wild' aviary, near the entrance? It's been without netting or animals for a while, I didn't know if anyone knew of any plans for it.

I don't think there are any plans. I'd be surprised if they do anything with the space for years.

There's a chance I might be visiting Twycross for the first time in many years next weekend. Is there a good chance of seeing the striped hyena?

Another orangutan baby for Twycross zoo - what a great day!

Footage of the Orangutan baby that was born earlier today at the Twycross Zoo in Atherstone, England! The mother still licking the placenta that is lying next to her. Licking the blood of her fingers. Then stroking the newborns baby's hand, caressing her and cuddling her.
I've got a video if anybody is interested. As I'm not allowed to post the link - go to my profile and click homepage! Or visit my YouTube channel: SloggerVlogger
