Again, alphabetised:

The former Europe on the Edge would also have made the list. Monkey Islands was the toughest omission.

Tropical Realm (specifically the free-flying birds throughout the house)
Tsavo Aviary

Congo buffalo enclosure

What is it about the Congo buffalo enclosure that gets it into your top 5?

In no particular order, the ungulate paddocks in Islands, SOTJ, the painted dog habitat, the elephant house and Dragons in Danger.

1. offshow area behind giraffes - it had a bongo in it once, he was visible from the canal path
2. the old orchard - used to house bongos, now has a male onager - no contest really :p
3. the large paddock next to the zebras - bongos recently vacated it
4. old scimitar-horned oryx enclosure - it has bongos

seriously in order of my favourite to my fifth favourite

1. Europe on the Edge, I will miss it when it has gone.
2. the new bongo paddock, they seem more settled in there.
3. the aquarium
4. the new Rainbow Aviaries, reminiscent of the bird house
5. Sand Lizards, very natural

2. Monsoon Forest
3. Tropical Realm
4. Forest Zone Area
5. Spirit of the Jaguar
Just to expand on why I chose these as my favourites:
Fruit Bat Forest: Now usually when I go to the zoo, the reptile houses are always my favourites, but at Chester it is the Fruit Bat Forest. The reason that I chose this is because I love the atmosphere that is set in the building. The forest is dark but not too dark and is alive with all of the bats flying around you. I love the feel of the bats flying around my face. There is the sound of waterfalls hidden in the darkness and no matter how hard i try, I can never find one of them that sounds like it is coming from the area near the bridge. As weird as it sounds, I also love the smell in there too. Don't ask me why. The only down side is that now as you go in to the building, there is a camera person in the foyer. :(
Monsoon Forest: This building is my favourite tropical house. The first reason why is because it is home to a crocodilian species (false gharial) and crocodilians are my favourite animals. It is also home to my favourite bird - the rhinoceros hornbill. But what I love most about it is the Tripa Forest Research Station and all of the amazing invertebrate species it has such as the giant phasmids, buffalo leeches, and the beautiful orb-weaving spider. I have not seen the new invertebrate expansion that it has but I look forward to seeing it. The orangutan enclosure that it has has to be the best orangutan enclosure I have seen in my life-time. The only thing that I feel it could improve on is a few more reptile species.
Tropical Realm: Now this is the heart of the reptile collection at the zoo. Once again it has another crocodilian species - the spectacled caiman. To be honest, though very common in captivity, I love the spectacled caimans possibly more than the false gharials. This is because I have had a very soft spot for caimans since I was little. The reptile collection in there is not as great as it used to be but it does have a couple of jewels in there such as the tuatara. The bird collection is fantastic as well and full of hornbills. Hornbills are my favourite birds and I am absolutely crazy about them. Once again, the rhinoceros hornbills are my favourites but I love the Indian ones as well. The aye-ayes are quite marvelous too.
Forest Zone: I don't know if Forest Zone is the true name for this part of the zoo but I always count it as an exhibit on its own. The main reason that I love this part of the zoo is because it has a great variety of things to see round here. One reason that I love this place is because it has the giraffes here. Giraffes are my favourite animals after crocodilians. I love the old feel of the cattle house, and I also love the little sand lizard enclosure. Though it can be hard to spot the lizards, it has such a nice, natural feel to it. Also, you just got to love them red river hogs!
Spirit of the Jaguar: I love the jaguar enclosure at the zoo, and the nice rain forest feel that it has. I have seen the jaguars playing in the waterfall pool before and it is amazing to watch. But the thing that I love most about this exhibit is the big Amazonas Aquarium that it has. It has such a beautiful variety of fish in there, as well as some turtles and the sloths above it. Also, you can't forget about those brilliant little leaf-cutter ants!

Cool list but I seriously suggest putting spaces between paragraphs like I did.

Small Mammal House - now sadly gone.
Mixed species aviary between owls and Oakfield - now sadly gone.
Pachyderm House - elephants, hippos and tapirs - is there a theme here?
Tropical House - with Echidna, Pygmy Hippo etc.
Przewalski Enclosure.

;)

Should do a least favourite too.....finding easier to name them than narrowing down my favourite 5. :P
