Was Esmeralda the only red-faced spider monkey in the States?
I also recommend checking out Meilover's youtube channel. She posts some wonderful clips of the zoos animals.

Visited the zoo today, but no news to report sadly.
However, I have an additional announcement. Its something I've been working on over the past few weeks.
In the coming days I will be starting a dedicated Brookfield zoo youtube channel. It will be called, "Brookfield ZooTube".
Wow at minute 3 You can clearly see a male resplendent quetzal in the free flight área of the old bird house. So brookfield had quetzal at the 60sChecked out the channel - nice videos, MeiLover! Pachyderm pro, checking your's out now too
While checking out aforementioned videos, I also found this one - reels of footage from Brookfield Zoo circa 1962. It should be expected to feature outdated cages, and does, but it's interesting video nonetheless, featuring glimpses of the Giraffe House, Primate House internal, and Baboon Island when it was multi-species, in addition to the cat and bear grottos and Pachyderm House.
