Perhaps it's to be sure it survives i use to question why they don't announce births right away but I understand why, they need to give the calf time to see if it's healthy and to be sure it's settled before the public see it.Surprised the zoo absent announced the birth, considering its been outdoors today
Popped in today the Tsavo house was closed but could see the baby rhino through the glass if you looked closely enough.
The whole of Islands looks better now the planting is maturing, the new tapir exhibit looks done (well paddock) cannot see the rest of the phase 2 of islands well to see how far till its finished.
No sign of bear cub but with how tall the planting is, if they don't change the dividing fence then there is no chance of seeing the cub.
But which baby rhino?Popped in today the Tsavo house was closed but could see the baby rhino through the glass if you looked closely enough.
A Black Rhino calf has been born to mum Kitani and dad Magadi. This is Kitani's first calf since her last one Fara died in 2015. The calfs name will begin with the letter 'H' following the zoos alphabet pattern for there baby Black Rhinos.
