was this zoo a "major" zoo or a little one?
was this zoo a "major" zoo or a little one? There's a little zoo I've got rattling around in my head but I can't get the name out. Southport and Birmingham are at the front but I don't know if either of those make any sort of sense.
It was a zoo which was really an importer premises, yes? A little place with lots of elephants passing through...
Brighton Aquarium perchance?
Is it Cheltenham by any chance? I'm going by one of the smaller zoos that flourished then failed in the 1800s.
How about Bristol zoo? The zoo is one of the oldest in UK.
Liverpool zoo?
my first instinct would be Edinburgh, just because it is also an old zoo. But it is probably something completely different.
I'll put my head on the block here and say i don't think that Edinburgh has ever kept a common hippo at the zoo![]()
Woburn?
Coventry?
Plymouth?
I was thinking that it may have been The Exeter Exchange but I am pretty sure that closed before the date mentioned?
And I just want to double check that we aren't allowed to use any resources to check we're right? It has to come from our own zoo based knowledge?
