Isle of Wight Zoo is largely big cat rescue with a few primates. Well worth a visit with some good enclosures and plenty of enrichment.I am a bout to book a trip to the Isle Of Wight for early 2018 based in Sandown are their any collections I should consider visiting now matter how small they are I would like to hear what people on here think?
So am I, but I have my uses. Allegedly.
Butterfly World seems to be seasonal - so if you're going before about April next year it probably won't be open Butterfly World Isle of Wight – Tourist attraction offering butterflies, fountains, koi ponds, and Italian and Japanese gardens, also with cafe, and garden centre.I would like to thank you all for your info and help just visited ztl and couldn't find an listing for
Owl & Falconry centre or the Butterfly World any help would be great.
Again thanks for the info folks.
Do any of you know of any small bird collections on the island I could visit or any good wild bird watching area's.[/QUOT
Some good birds at Amazon World, Plate-billed Mountain Toucan among others.
Seaview Wildlife Encounter, now sadly closed, had serious bird collection.
Although the lizards might be asleep when you visit. Not sure about wild birds, but there are Red Squirrels, and Wall Lizards in Ventnor.
