The Elephant move has started - Juba and Ashanti arrived at Beauval on Thursday. There herd mates will follow shortly

The elephant move continues, Tana (tots) arrived at Beauval last Thursday. That leaves just Nala at Knowsley. Unsure as to why they didn't travel as pair like Juba and Ashanti.
 
There is a interesting article on Knowsley's website explaining as to why they now have 2 prides of lions. Things will hopefully of settled down now. Amazing to think how much a pride's dynamics can change after the death of the pride male. Does anyone know when Freya, Lox & Fannita passed away just out of interest, last lionesses that died that I know of were Alys & Fugli in 2013 I think

When I went a year ago the Lion Reserve was closed( all day) due to'fighting'. When I went earlier this year the main reserve contained only females with no male, and the second reserve had the males.
