Based on the continuing construction I saw earlier this week, I would say not in the very near future. At this rate the best we can hope is that it will open by New Years Day. (This is of course speculation).

Both lemur exhibits as well as the vervet monkey exhibit are now open. As for the rest, I can’t say.

I visited several days ago and one new-to-me discovery was that the Malayan tapir exhibit is a mixed species exhibit with Visayan warty pig! I saw one individual of each species.

The new bridge's elevators are still not installed.

The central unfinished portion of Africa Rocks looks to have several months of work remaining.

The pandas have been moved back to Panda Trek. The female Andean bear has moved to the 2 lower bear exhibits where the pandas were. The male sun bear has moved into the Andean bear exhibit at the top of Center Street. I don't know but I am hoping construction on the elevator is almost done. The reason for the panda's move in the first place was because of construction noise.

There is a male and female Siamese crocodile on exhibit on Tiger Trail. The exhibit previously held the dwarf crocodiles and before that the gharials. We have a young female pygmy hippo that will soon be introduced to our male, Algon. The female, Francesca was moved to another zoo.

Both animals came from the Detroit Zoo. The male (no name) is 35 years old and was born at the Bronx, and the female (also no name) is 31 years old and was born at Zoo Miami

Thanks for the info. I always hated when keepers never name their crocodile pairs. It just seems lazy or something.

In addition, it seems the black Amur leopard, Mystique, and the cub named Charlie have also moved and are now on exhibit, as I anticipated earlier. Birds have been added to the aviary but it is not entirely open yet.

What is left to open after the aviary opens? Is the ibex exhibit the last unopened exhibit?
