Borth Animalarium Lynx escape

Looking at the list of species on ZTL - which is probably out of date, to be fair, the collection would have to lose 16 species:

Black-capped capuchin
Burmese rock python
Common snapping turtle
European Eagle-owl
European red fox
Grivet
Guianan weeper capuchin
Kafue lechwe
Leopard
Lion
Northern lynx
Parma wallaby
Patas monkey
Raccoon dog
Red-necked wallaby
Spectacled caiman

I'm confused. You don't need DWAL for a lot of these.

Well, this is just going by the list of what species count as Category 1 posted above - these are the taxa listed on ZTL which fall into the various categories in the list posted by Fresco3. The true figure might well be lower.

According to the SSSMZP, wallabies, foxes, non-breeding eagle owls, pythons under 3m long, grivets, raccoon dogs and female lechwe are all category 2 or 3.

I believe that wallabies were catergory 2, only Kangaroos were category 1. So I guess that's two less species they'd have to lose.

And if the lechwe were female and the owls weren't breeding they would be category 2 aswell.

Interesting having Joanna Lumley on the sofa with him, simply stating that we should be satisfied with watching wildlife on TV.
