Male white rhino swapping between Erfurt Zoo and Poznán Zoo. Dino arrived at Erfurt on Sept 3, 2013. Erfurt's male white rhino Kiwu was transferred to Poznàn on Sept 4, 2013.

Two weeks ago, the only remaining female of the Nilgiri langurs was euthanized due to cancer.

Now, there´s only one male langur left in Erfurt (and in every zoo outside India)

No less then 61 Veiled chameleons have hatched at Erfurt .

I think he may have gone too as the zoo has brought in a group of spectacled langurs from Wuppertal

Yes, the male"Billy "is dead, too, he was euthanized,too, beucase of high age-he was 28 years old.

On August 28 Cape hyrax twins were born, 10 days later another 3 were born. The group at Erfurt now contains no less then 16 animals !

At Erfurt 13 year old Barbary lionnes Lubaya died after she was being anesthetized because she had some health-problem . Now it will be tried to find uot what went wrong.

From a litter of 4 Cheetahs already 3 have died and also the 4th cub isn't looking healthy .
