Best ZooChat Photo of 2017

We have done this for the last two years (if I remember correctly). It is time to submit your favorite site photo from last year. Deadline to enter is January 31, 2018. Not sure yet how I will set up the final vote; it depends on how many entries we get.

Three simple rules:

1) Photo must be posted on ZooChat and have been taken in 2017. If the date taken (not date uploaded) is not listed in the caption, please click the tab under the photo that says "information." This will give the camera info including date taken. (Photos uploaded in 2017 were not necessarily taken in 2017).

2) Submit one photo and one photo only. Please provide a hotlink to the photo (if you're not sure how to do this, start a private conversation with me).

3) Have some class and please do NOT nominate your own photo.

You may be wondering how to find one photo you particularly like. When you get to the media section, you can click on "watched media" which will post all the photos you have commented on (or chosen to follow). Of course if you never comment on photos this won't help (hint - you should start commenting on photos you like).

It may not the highest quality photograph taken in 2017, but in my opinion the following shot of an Olm taken by Devilfish in October 2017 is - by some distance - the most unique and appealing photograph of the year:

Unfortunately, for those of us who merely 'like' photos it seems they won't show up here. @Simon Hampel is there any way to see all the photos we've 'liked'?

It is still a very fine picture and reminds me somewhat of a mirrored Lufthansa bird :p

At the moment, I can only access 98 pages of the gallery, which doesn't even take me to into November 2017. Obviously, I'm not going to go into individual galleries to find a favourite, so i'll just go with the Andean Bearries in the snow shoT :D

Select the Share BB IMG (With Thumbnail) Code: option
It worked, however if you choose "with thumbnail" as you suggest it crops the photo to a square (leaving out potentially important parts). If you choose the option above that one, which says Share BB IMG Code (without the extra phrase "with thumbnail") it will insert the entire image, which I feel is preferable.

Now that I have learned how to embed the image, I deleted my original vote and am reposting it here. SMR's image of a spectacled bear in snow with berries is amazing - perhaps the best ZooChat photo of all time.

To those who have posted so far (or will post but can't figure out the photo embed). Now that I have learned how to embed a full image (as opposed to just a link or a square crop), does anyone object to me editing your post/vote to show the whole image as above?

The problem with that method is you cannot do this

Whereas the thumbnail does take you to the gallery and the image information, should it be needed :)
