Black-Footed Ferret is one of those rare mammals in North American zoos I thought I was definitely going to grab for the year on my trip but just.. didn't. I'm a little frustrating, too, since it's been 6 years since I've last seen one.

Whilst I have plain never seen one :p

If you'd just get over here already and went to ZooAmerica you would :p

I was originally planning on visiting Toronto later this year but unfortunately I think those plans are done for, as far quite a few of my proposed mini-trips due to some personal circumstances outside of my control.

Plus the one at Toronto is easily visible(at least when I go)!

Something that might be of interest to our European friends, is that the Ferrets are exhibited side by side with a Loggerhead Shrike, which is (according to ZTL) found at no collections in Europe! You can get two birds with one stone (or more like one passerine and one mustelid:p).

What subspecies of Loggerhead Shrike? I've seen migrans at Bronx years ago and I was supposed to see a subspecies endemic to the Channel Islands at San Diego WAP but they were off-exhibit due to construction.
