The two top zoos in the state of Missouri clash against one another in a very interesting category, carnivores. Saint Louis has Cat Canyon with lions, tigers, amur leopards, snow leopards and a rare open topped jaguar exhibit, plus excellent exhibits in the Rivers Edge with Sun bears, Andean bears, painted dogs and cheetahs, the latter which recently had a whopping nine cubs. There are also new exhibits for grizzly and polar bears that opened last year and in 2015 respectively. Now Kansas City also has their fare share of good exhibits. A relatively new polar bear exhibit by the entrance and a lush if smallish leopard habitat. Things really get interesting in Africa where lions, cheetahs, painted dogs, caracals, smaller cats and smaller foxes are treated to large exhibits. However, it is brought down by the mediocre tiger exhibit that is in need of replacement.

The concept behind this poll is explained here: ZooChat Cup Season 2

Tomorrow: Smithsonian National vs Sedgwick County

Does anyone have pictures of the Tiger exhibit? I’d like to know how mediocre it is.
